Object of research is of species variety, biological characteristics and scatter of orchids on the plateau. It describes 9 species, belonging to 11 genera, and illustrates them with original colour pictures. The results is publish in book.

      Special interest for author is species from  Epipactis - it's characterize comparatively very rarely in literature. For theirs extensive research is need topical specialize books.

     The Shumen plateau is one bigger part from Shumen altitude, situated in east part of Danube's undulating plain (East Bulgaria). On the average above sea-level is 350 m, high level point is 502,4 m.

     Geographical position, speciality and soil-climatic conditions of plateau predetermine highlyvaried vegetable life. One of most beautiful flower plants (Angioespermae) on the plateau is species of family Orchidaceae.
